World Championship Cheese Nuestro Queso currently has a position available for Maintenance Technician, located at our Cheese making facility in Kent, Illinois. This is a key role that will require a hands-on, result driven individual, able to perform in a fast growth environment. This position is in charge of; ·         Conducting machine set-up ·         Troubleshooting ·         Repairs ·         Preventative maintenance service KEY RESPONSIBILITIES; ·         Ensure that ALL members of the maintenance team follow all company safety and quality procedures including but not limited to LOTO, Hot Work Permitting, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, GMP’s, Red Tag, and the Work Request Process. ·         Preventively maintain all plant equipment / systems and safely make repairs in a timely manner as necessary. ·         Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment ·         Prepare and set-up machinery and other systems for scheduled production run ·         Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service ·         Comply with OSHA Safety and Health Rules DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE; ·         Minimum of 3 years related experience in a manufacturing plant (food manufacture preferred) ·         Ability to communicate with all levels in the organization ·         Strong troubleshooting skills ·         Bilingual preferred (English & Spanish) ·         Must have solid mechanical aptitude and an understanding of how electro-mechanical systems operate and fail. Must be able to demonstrate this verbally and through action/results. ·         Must be willing and physically able to safely work at heights, on ladders, over head, and in confined areas.
