We are in need of a Motor Design Engineer - Floorcare & Specialty Motors in Kent, OH. The salary is 90k & relocation is available.

Our Client Company is a leading global manufacturer of electronic instruments & electromechanical devices.

Position Description

·         Responsible for design & development of fractional horsepower AC & DC brush universal & PM motors; selection of the appropriate components; & confirmation that the project requirements & specifications are met in a timely & cost effective manner.

·         The position involves working directly with customers, suppliers, engineering leadership, program management, supply chain & other product team members to develop & qualify motors. Travel, including possible international travel 2-3 times per year.

Position Requirements

·         Demonstration of proficiency in successful project management & sufficient depth of technical expertise to handle major projects.

·         Apply basic engineering principles & analysis to the resolution of technical problems; perform development, design & analysis of new products; provide design validation testing for all new products; interpret design results & data; make independent judgments as to their validity.

·         Review, interpret & act on customer provided specifications & drawings & convert into divisional format; establish dimensional, mechanical & electrical performance criteria & parameters.

·         Establish & modify test limits & methods that adequately ensure product performance compliance.

Education required: Bachelors Degree - BSEE

Exp. required: 5-7 Years with electric motors & fans
