PD Specialist – Live Events Brief Summary of Position The Education Specialist – Live Events works closely with the Manager of Professional Development –Live Events to develop, coordinate, implement, maintain, evaluate, and update live event educational programs and materials for promotional products professionals. The Education Specialist – Live Events fully participates in the planning, assessment, coordination, implementation, and promotion of live event educational programs including speaker management, event, programs and project management. Develop and maintain, and assure effective communications with subject matter experts, professional speakers, members, volunteer groups and internal staff. 2. Assist in developing, delivering and implementing live event education curriculum, training materials and live event educational programs. 3. Oversight responsibility for implementation of all live event project plans including working with department staff to manage and assure deliverables are realized. 4. Prepares RFPs, work orders, event specifications for hotel, audiovisual companies, decorators, tour operators and other contractors. 5. Manage all event logistics, such as room assignments, equipment, food/beverage, speaker management, web content and social events. 6. Responsible for the development, implement and post evaluation processes. 7. Oversee the development, maintenance and updating of event run of show schedules and timelines. 8. Work with Live Event and Marketing Managers on the development and implementation of live event marketing plans. 9. Implements the creation, production, and distribution of all meeting materials based on approved timelines and budget parameters 10. Tracks the Professional Development annual budgets; monitor revenues and expenditures, and reconcile receipts with accounting records on a continuous, ongoing basis to ensure accuracy of data. Produce analyses and other reports on various aspects of budgets as requested. 11. Conduct other duties as needed or assigned. Provide support, as requested by the Department Director or Manager, to facilitate projects and activities within the department. Perform all other job related duties as required or assigned.
