Job Description:
Indrotec is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to work with our client headquartered in Ramsey, MN. Founded in 1930, our client has become a recognized leading manufacturer of quality ophthalmic lenses. This is a "Direct Hire" opportunity offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Summary:
To manage the shift in order to meet production goals in the most efficient manner as well as to develop as a future leader in managerial positions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
  • Manage a diverse workforce
  • Monitor productivity against goals
  • Report daily production issues and accomplishments
  • Perform in depth statistical analysis of processes from a financial and systemic standpoint
  • Maintain shift financial budget in regard to output, labor, and supplies
  • Lead engineering, process improvement, and system improvement projects
  • Coordinate activities within and outside of department to optimize productivity
  • Provide timely and value-added employee appraisals, discipline and counseling
  • Communicate with peers, monitor inspection data collection
  • Mentor, develop, and advise production leads
  • Influence other departments though attitude, competency, and dedication
  • Present oral and written information to company executives
  • Manage other departments when necessary
  • Maintain all safety requirements
  • Train shift to be proficient in all tasks
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year accredited institution and at least four years of leadership, management, or technical experience. Manufacturing or related experience is a plus.
