Job Summary

 

The Senior Manager, Marketing Reporting & Analysis supports the Marriott Rewards and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards programs by:

 

·         Developing reports/scorecards that provide insights into program performance, while supporting the data needs of the decision-makers.

·         Leveraging and enhancing the existing marketing measurement processes by use of appropriate statistical methods to track & measure program/promotions efficiency & effectiveness

·         Promoting the continued adoption of ‘Test & Learn’ approach to maximize return on marketing actions and working with stakeholders in translating analytical findings into actionable insights

·         Establishing and sharing best practices around marketing measurement & marketing program/promotion performance to stakeholder teams

 

In addition, the role requires collaborating with marketing teams to develop targeted promotional offers for Rewards guests that support specific business objectives and meet financial hurdles.  The Senior Manager generally works with considerable independence and reports to the Senior Director, Marketing Reporting & Analysis.

 

Expected Contributions

 

§         Work collaboratively with stakeholder teams and lead the analytical support for marketing programs/promotions; manage the continuous improvement of marketing measurement processes

 

§         Master present analytical methods to measuring effectiveness; keep up-to-date on developments in analytics and analytical tools/platforms to identify methods that would be useful in improving Marriott’s understanding of its customers.

 

§         Understand and apply best practices for design of experiment and validate sufficient sample sizes for accurate reading of results; possess ability to identify and propose the right analytical techniques for measuring effectiveness

 

§         Create marketing/program scorecards resulting from needs identified by stakeholder teams


§         Collaborate with Marketing, IT, and Revenue Management professionals to pull segmentation through the development, execution, and measurement stages

 

§         Become a go-to person for insight into our loyalty programs for marketing teams.

 

Specific Candidate Profile

 

§          5+ years of relevant work experience in analytical roles; preference will be given to those with a track record in customer-level analytics.

§          Aptitude and enthusiasm for analyzing vast amounts of data; interest in working independently with analytical tools to understand, predict and evaluate customer behavior.

§          Experience in predictive modeling & campaign analytics; must possess a solid understanding of multivariate regression, logistic regression, and classification trees, and experience applying these techniques to provide solutions to business needs.

§          Extensive knowledge of Base SAS and fluency in SQL a must; experience with SAS Enterprise Miner a definite plus.

§          Must possess knowledge of relational database technology and concepts

§          High level of motivation coupled with the ability to set priorities; must be comfortable with change as well as deadlines.

§          Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

§          College degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science or other relevant degree(s); MBA or MS preferred.
