Job Description:
Ready to work at a company Newsweek voted in the top 15 best places to work in the U.S.? The shipping clerk will follow routine procedures for packaging, shipping, and receiving parts. You will also test light equipment for any maintenance.
    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Record incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.
    • Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
    • Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
    • Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons, using stenciling equipment.
    • Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers.
    • Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
    • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
    • Examines outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications.
    • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
    • May operate hand-truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area.
    • Operate parts handlers, performing routine tests, reconfigure test fixturing, inspect parts for marking and lead alignment, keep track of all passing and failing product.
    • Perform special tasks from time to time and general test department maintenance and cleaning as needed.
      Requirements:
      • Must be able to use computer interfaces for test systems.
      • Pass an extensive criminal background check
      • Pass all assessments
      • A high school diploma or GED
      • Demonstrated, steady work history
      • Complete a supervised training program as well as read and understand any pertinent training or Test Department procedural manuals, including ESD procedures..
      • MRP/ERP software experienced strongly preferred.
      • Good mechanical skills to resolve minor machine problems is also required.
      • Prior experience with light mechanical maintenance of automated equipment is desired.
