Seeking Manager with at least 3 years experience in the precision optics industry to lead the development and oversight of the polishing and finishing department of a major optics manufacturer.

Required Experience:

*** Managed polishing operations that were operating with angstrom level tolerances.

*** Familiar with sub-angstrom polishing techniques

*** Previously developed departmental requirements for: budgeting, equipment procurement, process implementation, work scheduling, training, and hiring.

*** Oversaw conventional shaping, grinding, and blocking operations.

*** Ability to operate and troubleshoot: interferometers, profilometers, autocollimators, test plates, double sided polishers, grinders, continuous polishers, CNC polishers, and CNC generators.

*** Proficient in spherical, double-sided lapping, and conventional polishing techniques on: hard crystals, sapphire, BK7, glass, fused silica, and germanium.

*** Reviewing and improving department processes.

*** 3+ years comparable experience
