ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

v  Communication – Responds to staff, parent, student or public inquiries to provide appropriate information.  Answers telephone to screen, transfer, respond to inquiries or take messages.

v  Steward Of Resources – Accountable for receiving and receipting childcare tuition money.  Logs student illness/credits and forwards to District Office.  Fills out child care rate and preschool tuition contracts.  Inventories and orders sufficient amounts of various office supplies.  Maintains student files.

v  Public/Community Relations – Works with Program Supervisor to fill student openings and provides tours for prospective parents.

v  Administrative Support – Assists Director, Program Supervisor, teachers and parents in the smooth operation of the school and school activities.  Publishes teacher and center newsletters and various reports.

REQUIREMENTS:

v  Prior job-related experience

v  Able to work independently

v  Proficient in use of computers and software

v  Knowledge of child care rules and regulations

v  Good listening skills

v  Maintain confidentiality

v  Excellent oral and written communication skills

v  Demonstrate an attitude of support and encouragement

v  Organizational skills

WORK HOURS:

Monday through Friday; 8:30-12:30
