Instrumentation Technician

BP West Coast Product’s Carson Refinery is seeking candidates to fill full-time Instrumentation Technician Positions in Carson, CA just south of Los Angeles. These positions are in a safety-sensitive environment and require successful completion of extensive pre-employment testing, drug/alcohol & medical screenings and background checks, as well as compliance with a continuous random drug and alcohol-testing program.
All positions will require the following:
High School diploma or equivalent. Military or Trade School graduates, or A.S. Degree, or 3-5 Years related work experience is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills. High quality workmanship and attention to detail. Standing, walking, lifting and carrying up to 30-50 pounds, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and stretching, pushing, pulling, dragging 50-yards, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, use of hands and feet. Must be able to work safely and in adverse conditions in various forms of PPE such as fresh air mask. May have to work in small and confined spaces and at heights. Some overtime & nightshift work required.
POSITION - INSTRUMENT CRAFTSMAN
Knowledgeable and skilled in the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and calibration of electronic or pneumatic equipment is desired, as follows:
• Digital Control Systems
• Electronics
• Process Control Valves
• Process Measurement Devices
• Pneumatic Instrumentation
• Process and Environmental Analyzers
