- BA/BS with a strong background in liberal arts
- One to two years of journalistic (preferably magazine) experience
- Knowledge of and interest in the state of Wisconsin and its people, history, nature, travel, and culture
- Demonstrated superior editing, writing and research skills and a good sense of language and grammar
- Knowledge of AP style
- Strong time management, organizational and computer skills essential as well as ability to prioritize, work independently, and manage several assignments and track multiple projects
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Experience with online and electronic communications
- Experience with Photoshop and InDesign
