Primary responsibility is for accurate delivery of bulk newspapers and newspaper products to Chicago and in the city, suburban, and state areas. Delivery includes loading and unloading of of newspapers that need to be transported. Assist in the quality control. Maintains cleanliness while on the production floor. Works as a team member to provide assistance to others and follow the work instructions not provided in this description by the Supervisor. Adheres to the Company Code of Ethics to ensure policies and procedures are maintained which create a positive work environment. Maximum of 30 hours per week. Shift starting time is between 10 pm and 11:30 pm 6-8 hour shifts.
size trucks 4 – 28’, 4 -21’ & 13 -21’, 5 with drop axles and 1 with lift gate. Must have FEDMED Card.
PhysicalRequirements: Ability to stand/ or walk entire shift. Ability to lift bundles of papers weighing up to 30 lbs. regularly. Ability to push/ pull bins and carts weighing up to 1000 lbs. Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and pushing or pulling. Ability to read and interpret instructions such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals. Ability to comprehend instructions and follow prescribed safety rules during machine operation.
This position is based out of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Production facility in West Milwaukee, WI.
