WIA PROGRAM COORDINATOR
United Indian Nations, Inc. is a non-profit organization located in San Leandro, CA whose mission is to serve economic needs of American Indians and Alaskan Natives in the six Bay Area counties through implementation of a Federal WIA grant and a Community Service Block Grant (CSBG). A Coordinator is needed to coordinate and manage these grants for the benefit of clients and the Native community.
OPENING:
1 Fulltime person, Monday-Friday, 8:30 am -5pm.
PAY:
34-42K Annually, Depending on Experience and Qualifications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Self-motivated, organized person with experience working in American Indian /Alaskan Native communities in a human service capacity. The strong candidate will have knowledge and/or experience in employment and training programs, program and case management, staff supervision, data and record management, meeting grant requirements and building partnerships among organizations. Strong communication, including computer and interpersonal skills necessary. Education requirement: Minimum of 3 years applicable experience or Associate degree in related field with applicable experience. Valid CA drivers license with good record and adequate insurance. Bay Area, and occasional overnight and plane travel.
