A new home-based start up company (near the Viking Hotel) consulting for small businesses and non-for profit organizations near the Viking Hotel. My business and personal files are all a mess. I am one of those creative, entrepreneurial, kind, witty individuals who is allergic to paper in general and the stack of mail, newspapers, and magazines I receive daily. Though I am a very clean and sanitary individual, as an executive, when it comes to paper and the idea of organization overall, along with my very crazy schedule I just never get around to it. I now am in need of some help with the organization, prioritizing, administration and operational part of my life and business.

I am looking for someone to help me organize me and my business, start and finish some very pressing tasks (write letters, track responses of these letters, etc.). An equal responsibility of the job, aside from organizing and creating a filing system, will be to help with some basic web research, basic local errands (if you don't mind, this is NOT a requirement), and some letter writing (based on dictation I will provide you on a digital hand-held recorder; you can do this part of the work at home or school, if u wish).

This is a start-up business (my business partner is actually a Salve student) and our funds are extremely limited at this stage. To start, we could pay between $8-11 an hour CASH (depending on your experience, enthusiasm, and efficiency) paid daily, and about 10 -20 hours per week to start. A snack, lunch and or dinner will always be provide a if you are here for more than 5 hours. In addition, I am very flexible with respect to your schedule.

An increase in weekly hours, level of responsibility, title, salary, bonus, and overall freedom to take initiative with new projects, etc. are all on the near horizon for the right enthusiastic, proficient and enterprising individual. If your participation helps the business grow significantly (and it is growing quickly now) or adds significant efficiency, the position can lead to whatever you make it out to be. At the least, you will make some extra CASH; receive a GREAT letter of reference for future job, higher education, and scholarship / grant applications, etc., along with a chance to meet some very interesting and influential people local and international personalities at local events.


Candidate Requirements:

You should be cheerful, responsible, discreet, and capable of holding down interesting conversation (because often I would be working alongside you, at least at the beginning).

You should have a car, but that is not a requirement.

Have at least 1 year of some kind of office help experience.

Demonstrate proficiency with computers in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. If you know QuickBooks (that would be great too, but not necessary)

Have your own laptop (preferred but not a requirement).

Articulate with skilled reading and writing capabilities

Excellent time management and communication skills

Detail oriented and extremely organized

Marketing, PR, Journalism, and or Fundraising / non-profit knowledge or prior experience would be a plus, but not necessary by any means.

I would prefer a college student (male or female) as two of my projects are geared to college students, but I am also very welcoming of any one else who is qualified (houswife, retiree, disabled individual, etc.).
