Merrill is seeking an experienced Legal Records Lead for one of its Tampa, FL locations. Looking for a flexible, hard-working, organized, customer service team player. The position is responsible for managing the process of all ingoing and outgoing legal files in support of client needs. The responsibilities for this position include gathering, sorting and preparing legal documents for filing but most important creating computerized indexes of pleadings and discovery documents and closing case files for offsite storage. You must have strong knowledge and working experience with indexing pleadings and discovery. Working knowledge with various types of legal documents and legal records management software (i.e. LegalKey, Filesurf, Accutrak, etc…) while providing excellent customer service within a client environment.
Skills & Requirements
· High School Diploma, Associates Degree or equivalant.
· 1-5 years experience within a legal records center or law firm environment
· Experience with LegalKey or Filesurf software is a PLUS
· Prior legal records experience is a MUST
· Experience indexing pleadings and discovery documents within a legal environment is a MUST
· Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
· Strong customer service, attention to detail, ability to analyze and offer solutions
