RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processing and adjustments of property and casualty claims.
- Reserving claims payments and transactions.
- Preparing claims reports for the Claims Manager ensuring all claims information is accurate and complete.
- Liaising with underwriting and finance departments; outside counsel; brokers and office personnel as required.
- Investigating coverage issues ensuring that the company’s liability is in line with contractual commitments.
- Ensuring compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and the stated processes and guidelines set out by Company regarding claims handling.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 4 years experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry with prior claims experience.
- A strong academic background is preferred and commencement/completion of an insurance/reinsurance designation such as the ACII, ARe, CPCU or equivalent.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills with thorough knowledge of Word and Excel.
- The ability to organize and prioritize a demanding work load.
- Strong work ethic, commitment to meeting deadlines and ability to work on weekends and/or Public Holidays as required.
