Quality engineer wanted to develop quality plans and documentation requirements, including the use of statistically valid sampling methods to evaluate product at every stage of manufacturing process.
Develop corrective action processes and continuous improvement programs for suppliers. Develop and modify metallurgical processes or techniques to ensure product quality and conformance. Perform failure analysis on stock material, forgings and finished parts including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. Interpret and implement customer purchase orders, drawings and specifications. Perform material acceptance and approval of raw material for use in production. Provide technical support to clients.
Must have experience with automated welding of large steel parts. The ideal candidate has knowledge of manufacturing quality and welding engineering.
