The Inventory Analyst assists the Inventory Manager in the detailed analysis of inventory with specific responsibilities relating to forecasting and scheduling for a product line. Also assist with defined list management activities for all product lines within the division.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Monitor inventory of assigned titles and all ancillaries in the A&B product lines.
-Review stock status daily to determine if/when reprint should be
scheduled
-Recommend print quantity and BBD
-Provide complete documentation for editors' review
-Enter reprint data into filemaker database to provide tracking capability on reprints
-Review inventory activity and insure that print decisions are expedited on backorder items
2. Inventory Management of the 'List'
-Review/annotate daily backorder report in order to determine course of action. Discuss recommendation with Manager
-Work with Title Maintenance to ensure correct substitutions are in place and that Product Status is updated
-Perform scheduled review of titles for destroy recommendations and submit destroy requests to designated contact in PH.
-Monitor and update list of titles and quantities which are due into the warehouse and provide that data to editorial and sales support. This report allows editorial to recognize any pricing issues that may delay a receipt into the warehouse
3. Enter Value Pack data into Filemaker to provide demand at component level
-Loads data on every value pack created
-Updates whenever adoption info becomes available
-Runs report that provides formulation of component reprint quantities based on usage in each value pack
4.Create special reports on an as needed basis to provide
Inventory Manager , Editorial, Marketing
-Access to Business Objects to create OP with stock report
-Twice weekly report of Assembly Priority list to WNY
Minimum of 1 year of operations experience, preferably in inventory
management. BA/BS required. Must have strong analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
