| Description of Position: | Coordinate and manage lighting, controls, mechanical and electrical sub-contractors. Develop and administer subcontracts. Will coordinate the daily construction activities for the scope assigned with other client and company work. This position requires the development of construction scopes of work from engineering documents, developing and tracking project schedules, writing construction progress reports, tracking project costs, and verifying subcontractor invoices. Additionally, may be assigned to a development team to coordinate with the engineering group and provide pricing for the energy conservation measures being considered. Will develop pricing using vendor and subcontractor input and various estimating tools. Will develop project schedules for use in proposals being submitted. Initial Assignment Manage a portion of the design/build construction activities for the Hawaii Department of Accounting and General Services (DAGS) Project. Will issue the subcontracts and manage the subcontractors for a group of the ECMs which will be installed at some or all of the ten (10) buildings in the initial assignment to the company. Will be responsible for the quality, schedule and cost compliance of the subcontractors. Will perform daily quality and safety checks of each subcontractor's work, hold weekly meetings with subcontractors and write detailed meeting minutes. In addition, will work with the company's lead Sr. PM to support client meetings, project coordination, and project monthly reports. Will work from the company's on-site office. |
| Required Skills | 7+ to 10 years of experience Management Experience Required - No Minimum Education - Bachelor's Degree Candidates must be located in Hawaii and understand how construction is done in HI. Our client need folks strong in the MEP trades. The work we do is not ground up construction. We do refit construction of energy systems. Requires a minimum of five (5) years military experience or college degree plus eight (8) years relevant experience in construction management. Experience shall including on site management of subcontractors, writing subcontract scopes, project cost accounting and tracking, and computer skills in word-processing and spreadsheets (Word and Excel). A working knowledge of Microsoft Project is required. Candidate must have willingness to travel spending in excess of 50% of time at remote project sites on future assignments. |
