Oracle Developer

We are seeking 2 Sr.Oracle PL/SQL Developer for a 6 month contract.
Performs moderately complex publishing system design and implementation activities which may require extensive research and analysis; performs design, implementation and maintenance of moderately complex publishing systems.
Works with Data Analysts and Database Administrators (DBA) in the specification, design, and construction of publishing systems.
Researches and understands the business and technical requirements for a publishing process / system, including target environment and performance criteria; suggests technical approaches to management on projects.
As a project leader effectively handles all development activities of the project, (i.e., identifies resource requirements; manages multiple concurrent related activities, suspends and resumes activities as priorities shift, quantifies risk when contingency planning is needed).
Provides technical leadership to the team by researching new technology or development tools; is current on activities within the department, company and industry.
Assists in project planning, scheduling and resource allocations.
Has greater interaction with publishing system technicians; actively participates in training, presentations, technical demonstrations, etc.
Provides training/instruction and technical mentoring to junior associates.
Maintain/enhance technical expertise and industry knowledge in ETL and database technologies and their uses.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred with 6-9 years of experience in software design, development and maintenance of information systems. Related work experience and industry recognized certifications will be considered.
Proven technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design and implementation.
Strong analytical and design skills.
Three (3) or more years extensive experience in Oracle, open source database solutions, current Oracle applications software, and related technologies including WWW and client/server, stored procedures, Java, Perl, XML, TOAD, SQL, and PL/SQL technologies.
Experience using data transfer utilities like DTS, experience in creating Data Transformation Service packages.
Experience with building ETL based processes for data warehousing.
Experience working on a daily basis with DBA's solving problems with SQL, PLSQL, stored procedure and trigger coding.
Experience working on a daily basis with data analysts solving data problems and exceptions.
Exposure to database modeling systems.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and ability to work with clients, technical staff, and vendors.
Excellent problem solving and consultative skills.
Excellent planning, project management and implementation skills.
Must be a team player with a positive attitude, enthusiasm, initiative, sense of urgency, and be self-motivated.
Ability to work overtime and provide off-hours support as required
