Description:
Healthy Futures, an adolescent sexual health education program, is looking for part-time educators for immediate placement. Educators will provide assistance to the Education and Outreach Manager as needed, especially with presentations, preparation/implementations and clerical support.
Qualifications:
College graduate with experience in health or social sciences, strong public speaking skills, ability to work independently. Candidate must also be dependable and capable of following through on commitments. Must posses a strong commitment to premarital sexual abstinence. This person must be fully supportive of the philosophy and guiding principles of Healthy Futures. Bilingual Spanish/English and male candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Starting compensation: Negotiable
Reports to: Healthy Futures's Education and Outreach Coordinator
Responsibilities: Teach abstinence program for middle and high school students. Assist with program management.
Teach middle and high school abstinence curricula in classrooms as requested
Maintain strong knowledge of curriculum content and current understanding of health issues related to adolescent sexuality
Assist with organization of abstinence education activities
Attend all educator meetings
Maintain organization of teaching materials
Assist with data entry and organization of evaluation materials
Perform literature searches and retrieve articles as requested
Assist with scheduling of classroom presentations and keep attendance for presentations
Maintain data needed for grant reports and assist with reports as requested
Special projects as assigned by the Program Director
