Description
Gather requirements and develop a complete business intelligence solution for the DOT Integrated Data Warehouse using New Jersey standards and Business Objects. Work with the Data Architect to design dimensional data models as required for dependent data marts. Work with the Database Administrator to optimize database indexing strategies for data access. Make recommendations to enhance data warehouse functionality.
Mandatory Experience
• Five years experience with business intelligence projects in an enterprise data warehouse environment, including identifying user requirements
• Three years experience using Business Objects Web Intelligence to meet user requirements, including universe and report design, construction and documentation
• Three years experience in training users on Business Objects Web Intelligence
• Three years experience in designing, implementing, and managing Business Objects user security in a large enterprise data warehouse environment
1. Requirements: Positions requires experience working on data integration solutions. Must list at least four projects of significant scope and magnitude that illustrate required skills and experience required for this contract.
• Overall project planning and project management
• Development and maintenance of project requirements, proposals and plans including data models, tasks, timeframes, and resources
• Ensuring that project milestones are met with mitigation of any delays
• Ensuring the overall quality of project deliverables
• Regular client interface, including project status meetings and presentations
• Tracking and management of project actual costs to budget
• Assistance in data analysis and source identification
• Oversight and assistance in the development of the enterprise data model
• Identification of structured and unstructured data and functions within the existing application in Oracle (Windows and UNIX OS) databases
• Coordination with State programmers, designers and relevant outside consultants for the collection of information and system documentation
• Produce specific proposals for a modified or replacement Architecture
• Timeline development, testing and implementation of the new Warehouse
