Responsibilities associated with this position include:
· Co-Investigator or Lead Investigator, participating in the design and conduct of studies to
evaluate the value of new health care interventions, including pharmaceuticals and medical devices – studies will involve multiple aspects of economic modeling. Types of modeling range from spreadsheet financial models to Excel-based Markov models to simulation modeling using more advanced modeling software such as ARENA.
· Maintaining existing client relations and fostering new client relations
· Proposal preparation and management
· Presentation of research, including dissemination at scientific conferences and submission of manuscripts to peer-reviewed scientific journals
· Supervising and mentoring mid-level and junior staff
Job requirements:
· PhD in economics, health services research, or related field, or MS > five years of experience
working within the pharmaceutical or medical device industry or performing applied economic studies in the academic or consulting environment
· Advanced technical skills in econometrics or decision analytic modeling
· Ability to communicate effectively with peers, mid-level staff, and clients
· Demonstrated expertise in the field, including publications in peer reviewed journals, is
required.
