Job Title: Lab Supervisor
Job Responsibilities/Department description:
Manage sample workflow and staff to meet business thresholds
Maintain daily lab schedule to complete daily caseload
Monitor and troubleshoot quality with help of section staff and director
Maintain accuracy and consistency of results; troubleshoot quality and process improvement initiatives
Manage personnel, including training, professional development, recognition and performance management
Professional and effective written and verbal communication with management and technologists of all levels and across department work groups
Maintain current Quality and Safety requirements
Perform administrative supervisory duties
Supervisor case review, as needed
Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
7+ years lab experience
NCA certification in cytogenetics
Bachelor's degree in biology or related science
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of suspension tissue culturing techniques and microscope analysis, especially peripheral bloods or oncology.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience
