ATS is reaching out to the Afghan_American community for Pasho?Dari Linguists to assist in many different areas to thelp better the future of Afghanistan.
Our men and women are busy day and night helping the people of Afghanistan in building a better tomorrow. Without the help of Afghan-Americans, the rebuilding of roads, community programs, civil services, school, orphanage and medical facilties, along with humanitarian aid efforts would not have been possible.
Candidates of all education level are encouraged to apply. Candidates with completed formal US education are desired.
Responsibilities:
Provide timely and accurate translations completed per customer requirements and standards.
Ability to conduct live interview interpretation.
On occasion, act as Cultural Advisor and Subject Matter Expert to Americans in Afghanistan on the ways of Afghan life and culture.
Prior translation, interpretation and document scanning experience is a plus but not requried.
Requirements:
Must be a US citizen
Read, Write and speak with native fluency
Strong written and spoken communcation in English and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and as a contributing member of a team
Must be willing to undergo security clearance process
The required language proficiency is native or near-native proficiency in both Dari and Pashto
Location: Washington DC, Virginia, Texas, Georgia, Afghanistan
Up to $210,000/year depending on education level, citizen status and qualifications
