• Minimum of two (2) years of formal orthoptic training in an accredited center.
• Certification as Orthoptist as recognized by Orthotropic Council; additional certification
as Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT) by the Joint Commission of
Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO) is preferred.
• Minimum of four (4) years experience in the field required.
• Proficiency in the selection, performance and evaluation of examination
techniques necessary for a complete orthoptic work-up of strabismus or amblyopia
patient.
• Fluency in oral and written English.
U.S., Canadian or European Certified.
