Infection Control Coordinator

Education/Licensure:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing in country of professional practice (Diploma
from western countries otherwise Bachelor Degree) (Essential).
Current Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure from country of origin (Essential).
Current Certification in Infection Control (CIC) by the Association for Professionals in
Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) or equivalent (Desirable).
Professional Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years experience working as a Registered Nurse in an acute health
care/hospital setting (Essential).
Minimum of two (2) years working in infection control area (Essential).
Minimum of one (1) year teaching experience (Desirable).
Specialized Knowledge:
Knowledge of infection control standards and practices (Essential).
Knowledge of microbiology, transmission of disease, and isolation precautions principles
and concept (Essential).
Working knowledge of current Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA)
standards or any equivalent international standards (Essential).
Computer literate and familiar in all MS-Office programs and application (Essential).
Fluency in oral and written English (Essential).
Personal Qualities:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Good administrative skills and ability to set priorities.
Detail–oriented.
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
