P/T Production Assistant
Shift:
TBD (must be available for all shifts)
Typical Duties:
Maintain appearance of studio
Operate cameras, teleprompters, audio board, and character generator
Keep microphones in working condition and conduct microphone checks for talent and guests
Queue the anchors and provide them with appropriate times
Run switchboard and construct graphics for newscasts
Operate chyron graphics machine
Retrieve weather numbers if assigned to teleprompter
Assist with shoots, commercial, and in-studio live cut-ins
Distribute director rundowns
Assist in cleaning studio after each show
Perform other related tasks to the position as assigned
Requirements:
Must be able to work well under pressure and as a team member
Typing skills necessary
Ability to carry 50 lbs preferred
Flexible schedule
Responsible and Reliable
Dependable transportation
Previous television experience in college, high school, or internship desirable but not necessary, will train
