An innovative software solution provider in the medical software industry is seeking an energetic, self-motivated, sales superstar to lead the sales strategy and execution for this exciting company.
 
The ideal candidate for this position will be passionate about the health care profession and have extensive experience in delivering high value solutions to health care providers. The individual will be a creative person who can design a sales strategy that will allow for maximum coverage of a territory with minimal resources.   They will be an effective communicator with professional sales training enabling them to build relationships within all levels of an account in order to gain the best access to knowledge and insights into customer needs. The candidate will have experience with long sales cycles and preparing value proposals and presentations. The chosen individual will have strong business ethics, and should be self motivated and driven to succeed in a competitive environment. Experience with software sales would be considered an asset. 
 
Core competencies
 
·         5-10 years experience selling medical devices or software directly to hospitals
·         Formal major account sales training
·         Proven track record in closing large scale complex solutions
·         Be a proven performer with a documented track-record listing multiple accomplishments in medical device/software sales (e.g. Rankings, Quota Percentages, Awards, etc.)
·         Solid business acumen and strong understanding of the health care industry
·         Experience designing, implementing and managing strategic sales plans designed to meet and exceed overall corporate revenue goals
·         Ability to establish realistic but aggressive market/account strategies including key prospect plans and tactics for continuous market development
·         Ability to monitor and maintain a funnel of identified opportunities and effectively provide order and revenue forecasts
·         Effective business development skills
·         Overall leadership capabilities – natural ability to lead, motivate and incent an independent sales channel
·         Educated in the current healthcare marketplace and able to draw upon key business relationships
·         Excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism and judgment, comfortable working with and influencing senior executives.
·         Superior organizational skills – diligently keeps up to date records of activities and is able to provide status reports to management upon request
·         Excellent communication and listening skills
·         Passionate about sales and exceeding client’s expectations of service levels
·         A self-starter with strong initiative who can work independently within a multidisciplinary team and plan, organize and prioritize their workload
·         Open to travel extensively
 
 
Additional competencies:
·         Deep understanding of channel needs, competitive environment, business context and their implications for the development of channel management strategies and plans
·         Experience in building and managing a national sales or partner network. Demonstrated ability to proactively identify, build and manage partner relationships.
·         Strong representation, negotiation, and diplomacy skills to achieve consensus and mediate conflicts between competing interests.
