The Huck Group Inc headquartered in Naples, FL a global leader in the design and manufacturer of retail store fixtures have an opportunity for a Logistics/Distribution Manager. This manager will have overall responsibility for all aspects of the global transport of all materials and Finished Goods. This manager will coordinate activities of personnel engaged in shipping, receiving, distribution, and inventory control and will be directly responsible for transportation, freight forwarding, customs clearance and freight audit and payment. Responsibilities include:
· Implements Transportation and Logistics policy, including related Project Management
· Analyzes, develops, evaluates, or promotes improvements in the policies, plans, methods, procedures, systems or techniques of supply and logistics management programs
· Designs and develops logistics plans and develops inventory, Cycle Count processes and controls/procedures
· Recommends improvements in the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations.
· Controls and directs all supply chain logistics operations; responsible for meeting inventory management’s goals and objectives
· Manages day-to-day warehousing and distribution departmental operations and staff
· Manages import/export shipments and consolidations to ensure on time deliveries and ensures compliance to related regulations.
· Benchmarks and implements best in class practices to drive excellence in key performance metrics, and develop an achievement work environment and a high performance team that will identify and drive improvement initiatives.
· Recommends modifications/enhancements to supply management systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business from a four-year college, university or equivalent.
- Emphasis in Supply Chain/Logistics management preferred and/or a minimum of seven or more years experience in logistics management and transportation.
- Minimum five years experience in a management capacity
- Minimum two years experience in import/export compliance.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Experience with warehouse and or software applications, routing and dispatch software systems required.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Hazardous Materials certification along with Export Compliance training a plus
