Compensation:  $85,000 to $90,000


Commercial Lines Underwriting Manager - Indiana

Stable and growing Property and Casualty Insurance company is seeking a Commercial Underwriting Manager for their Indianapolis operation.  Candidates will be responsible for all aspects of the underwriting function and will play a key role in overall decisions including staffing, strategic business planning, agency development etc.  You will have an opportunity to lead and mentor your staff as well as working with other department managers.  Additionally, there is great potential for future advancement.

Qualifications:
* A minimum of 12 years experience underwriting commercial lines accounts
* A minimum of 2 years experience in management or supervision of an underwriting department
* Knowledge of regulatory compliance issues
* Multi state experience is required
* Strong technical underwriting skills
* Good communication and leadership skills
* Proven track record of results
* CPCU, CIC or other insurance designations are preferred.

This position represents a significant career opportunity.  Position will pay to $90,000 base + 2 incentive bonuses.  Relocation assistance is available for exceptional candidates.  Job 2889.
