EDUCATION: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in the field of Psychology, Counseling, or social work or discipline approved by reg authority is required.
EXPERIENCE: Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling and 3 years full time paid work experience in CRF and 2 years full time experience in administrative or supervisory capacity for a total of 5 years experience; or Bachelors in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling and 5 years full paid time work experience with children including 3 years CRF and an additional 2 years administration or supervisory experience for a total of 7 years experience; or degree and experience in Human Services approved by lead regulatory authority.
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Provides leadership, direction and ongoing administration and management for all aspects of Professional Youth Services and ensures policies and procedures are implemented. Has overall responsibility for all aspects of Professional Youth Services financial and operational performance.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
1. Responsible for program supervision and development.
2. Responsible for providing basic social services, to include making sure residents needs are being met, assist in transitioning resident into the facility, contact with legal guardian/placing agency about service planning and about resident's future care. Director will be provide a supportive environment and seek community resources to enhance independent living skills.
3. Prepares the annual budget and analyzes, prepares and presents monthly financial statements.
4. Provide assistance in handling complaints of staff and residents.
5. Ensure compliance to agency policies, state, and federal regulations governing mental health services.
6. Directly supervise direct care staff including hiring, training, motivating, evaluating performance, and disciplining.
7. Oversee the admission intakes and all other documentation for resident's file. (I.e. discharge summaries).
8. Ensure quality is maintained in all agency services and records.
9. Review and write findings on clinical charts with a focus on service planning and delivery, and quality of documentation.
10. Develop and conduct to direct care staff about service planning, clinical documentation, and other topics related to quality of care.
11. Provide on-site consultation and phone support to direct care staff on service planning, crisis intervention, and documentation.
