Limited Term Adjunct Lecturer - Online MBA BNAD 514 Career Management
The Karl Eller Graduate School of Management is seeking a Limited Term Adjunct Lecturer to teach BNAD 514 Career Management, a one-unit eight-week course for the Online MBA program. The initial instruction is limited to the Spring 2 2019 session, March 11, 2019 through May 5, 2019. In addition, there is the possibility of future teaching assignments, depending on the needs of the department. This position is a non-tenure track teaching position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Limited Term Adjunct Lecturer will be responsible for teaching BNAD 514 Career Management in an online format. This course is designed to provide MBA students with the knowledge, resources, and tools needed to navigate and manage their MBA level career search. This course applies career management theories, methods, and best practices to empower students to successfully manage their career now and in the future. Focus will be given to resume and cover letter writing, personal branding, networking, interview skills, and job search techniques. In this role, the incumbent will create the course syllabus and provide instruction. This position will also develop and grade assignments and exams. In addition, this teaching engagement entails responding to student questions and supporting student success.
As a member of the Online MBA faculty, the incumbent will be required to complete the Eller Faculty Excellence in Online Teaching Certificate.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Expertise in career management and related issues pertaining to MBA graduates.
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Psychology or related field.
Five years of experience recruiting or advising students or other populations.
Posted Rate of Pay $7,500 for eight-week session
