Strings Program Director (Teacher)
Teaching middle school string ensemble classes. Teaching beginning and intermediate string classes, including violin and cello. Teaching individual string instrument lessons to beginning and intermediate string students. Developing the school’s curriculum in orchestral music. Developing the curriculum for chamber and orchestral music. Assigning lessons. Evaluating students. Issuing reports to inform the parents of progress. Following curriculum and school requirements to prepare class objectives and outline sound courses. Conducting string ensemble rehearsals. Participating in faculty meetings, as assigned and scheduled.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Music Education and six months’ experience in position or six months’ experience as a Music Teacher.
Special requirements: Experience with teaching violin and cello in a school; developing a school curriculum in orchestral music; and conducting string ensemble rehearsals.
