Description

Installation and start-up of new and second-hand machines and complete lines of aseptic packaging equipment. Packaging format tooling installation, set-up and testing. PLC program modification (mostly PC based softlogic-Isagraph, Allen Bradley and occasionally Siemens). Assist design department in the measuring of machines. Onsite repairs for machine breakdowns. Test repaired items to ensure compliance with technical specifications using multimeters, oscilloscopes, deadweight testers, pneumatic calibrators and electric-motor diagnostic equipment. Perform quality control tests on repaired equipment, as needed. Provide training on filler / capper machines for Operators and Maintenance Technicians. Perform any trials with products and packaging formats on customer sites. Provide technical advice to the customer. Establish and implement the technical instruction programs for customers. Perform preventive maintenance and repair in automation environment on instrumentation, controls, breakers, motors, drives (electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic), circuit boards, PLC’s, and other associated equipment using knowledge of automation with PLC’s (Allen Bradley or Siemens) and PC’s. Test equipment to determine operational condition. Troubleshoot to determine location and extent of equipment faults. Repair equipment by adjusting, aligning, repairing, or replacing defective components. Inspection and upgrades of used machines. Responsible for the quality inspection of parts that were returned and reworked as a result of an installation to ensure the customer receives the correct updates. Read and understand wiring, mechanic, pneumatic and hydraulic drawings.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Automation Engineering and two years’ experience in position or two years’ experience in field service engineering.
Special requirements: Experience in maintenance and repair in automation environment; knowledge of automation with PLC’s (Allen Bradley or Siemens) and PC’s; reading and understanding wiring, mechanic, pneumatic and hydraulic drawings; multimeters, oscilloscopes, deadweight testers, pneumatic calibrators, electric-motor diagnostic equipment; and with aseptic packaging. Travel to various unanticipated client sites required. International travel required.
