Senior Network Engineers
Analyzing user requirements and defining functional specifications. Coordinating the planning, designing and optimizing of network solutions. Configuring static routing and dynamic routing like RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP. LAYER 3 MPLS. Implementing and troubleshooting LAN & WAN networks, VLANs, Etherchannel, STP, QoS protocols. Examining complex design requirements for various technologies and designing solutions accordingly. Providing network configuration, design, and documentation for upcoming projects using Layer 2 & 3 IES, VPLS & VPWS services in ALU Routers and switches, Cisco routers and Juniper MX480 - MX960 service router configuration. Ensuring inventory and capacity availability for each project, and identify any gaps. Working with support and operations teams to ensure seamless lab experience and timely completion of tasks. Ensuring customer concerns are addressed to the client's satisfaction in a timely manner. Assisting in maintaining an overall IPv4/IPv6 address schema for all labs. Configuring, installing, maintaining ALU7750 (collection, distribution, core) routers and ALU 7450 switches in video network environments. Troubleshooting network traffic and performing packet analysis (by wireshark, debug tools, mirrored ports). Writing Python scripts for network automation and configuration generation. Setup of Access-Lists, IP-filters and application of QoS/SLA and accounting profiles. Analyzing test results and recommending modifications to the network infrastructures to meet project specifications. Analyzing and troubleshooting issues identified during the testing life cycle. Documenting modifications and enhancements made as required by the project.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Business or Engineering and one year’s experience in position or one year’s experience in IT or Business Analysis field (or Three Year Diploma or foreign degree equivalent and three years’ experience).
Special requirements: Experience with configuring static routing and dynamic routing like RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP and MPLS; LAN & WAN networks; and Cisco routers. Travel to various unanticipated client sites required. May reside anywhere in the United States.
