Sr. Die Cast Engineer (Process Engineer)
Sr. Die Cast Engineer (Process Engineer) – Provides assistance and direction to die cast teams, and training to members of die cast engineering teams; Monitors daily production and carry out troubleshooting; Regular data collection of die cast productivity, rejects and machine efficiency; Provides engineering support to all areas of manufacturing by: establishing optimum die casting parameters and conditions, implementing product designs changes, developing process improvements, and providing engineered solutions to product and process problems; Develops and executes programs to improve productivity; Reviews customer rejects, implements action to prevent reoccurrence and meets with the customer if necessary to resolve problems; Collects, reviews, and categorizes customer rejects; Provides engineering support to die maintenance during die making, modification and maintenance and maintains die drawings to ensure that engineering revisions are reflected; Initiates and develops good working relationships with internal and external customers; Participates in 8D problem solving; Supports sales and quality assurance departments as required; Ensures smooth start of production (SOP) on new products; Complies with all health, safety, quality and environmental standards; Practices good housekeeping and safety procedures; Participates with team working, information sharing, and continuous improvement programs; Reviews thermal imaging, X-ray images, and CMM reports;Establishes and achieves management by objective (MBO) goals for assigned products; Assists in creation of PFMEA, process flow and control plans; and Visits customer plants.
Requirements - Master's or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering. Employer also accepts Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering and 7 years of die cast industry experience or in the alternative, 10 years of die cast industry experience. Special skills - Any experience in die casting.
