Test Systems Design Engineer
Test Systems Design Engineer– The Test Systems Design Engineer is responsible for developing hardware test tools and procedures that will adequately verify and validate the performance of various automotive components. Integral member of the design team, analyzing test requirements and establishing testing objectives and plans. Collaborate with customers as required to develop test criteria and methods. Interface with production, as applicable, to optimize carry-over investment potential. Provide direction to other team members within the Test Systems group. Develop component level performance testers and multi-component reliability test stands. Develop Testers / Build testers with efficiency, flexibility and minimal cost without compromising quality. Develop calibration procedures for all testers along with test data management processes that satisfy customer statistical analysis requirements. Develop tester work instructions, drawings, and bills of materials. Research/Implement innovative equipment and/or techniques into testers. Perform other job related and support activity duties as required and directed.
Requirements - Bachelors or foreign degree equivalent in engineering and 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years of experience with test design or validation engineering. Special skills - 2 years of experience with test automation software; 2 years of experience with test automation equipment with data acquisition hardware; 2 years of experience with CAN and LIN networking hardware and control software; and 2 years of experience with National Instruments LabView programming language.
