Advanced Network Engineers
Analyzing user requirements and defining functional specifications. Examining complex design requirements for various Cisco networks. Developing hierarchical network strategies and designs. Providing network configuration, design and documentation for upcoming projects. Leading multiple modeling, simulations and analysis efforts to uncover the best network solutions, including network security, switching, routing protocols, Cisco firewalls and load balancing. Analyzing, implementing and troubleshooting LAN and WAN networks, VLANs, Etherchannel, Cisco Firewalls, STP and QoS protocols. Creating and implementing routing and O3 protocols, such as OSPF, BGP, VRF, MPLS, IGMP, PIM, IPv6 and NAT. Developing, enhancing and configuring ALU7750 routers and ALU7450 switches in video network environments. Designing IP network multicast protocols in lab environments. Writing Python scripts for network automation and configuration generations. Developing and implementing test validations of the networks. Analyzing test results and recommending modifications to meet project specifications. Troubleshooting network problems due to BGP policies and communities, VRFs, OSPF and static routes. Being a technical resource for direct communications to team members in the project development, testing and implementation processes. Documenting modifications and enhancements made to the networks as required by the project.
Requirements: Master’s Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Information Technology or Engineering and one year’s experience in position or one year’s experience in IT field (or Bachelor’s Degree and five years’ experience).
Special requirements: Experience with network security, switching, routing protocols, Cisco firewalls and load balancing. Travel to various unanticipated client sites required. May reside anywhere in the United States.
