Analyzing user requirements and defining functional specifications using Agile methodologies. Developing SOA solutions using physical and virtual Data Power appliances. Conducting vendor assessments and Proof-of-Concepts (“POC”) for suitable technologies and products for emerging business needs. Collaborating with business, technology architects and other technical experts to understand and provide strategically sound Data Power solutions for complex business problems and providing faster and efficient decision making towards optimal solutions. Leading multiple modeling, simulations and analysis efforts to uncover the best Data Power solutions using IBM DataPower, IBM MQ Messaging, IBM IIB and XSLT. Creating API using Data Power. Creating and consuming SOAP/REST based Web Services and API. Analyzing and implementing Data Power security concept (AAA, WS-Security, encryption, digital signatures, etc.) within the application. Developing and implementing test validations of the applications. Analyzing test results and recommending modifications to meet project specifications. Ensuring that applications are running correctly and efficiently in the production environment. Performing application deployments (Scripted/Batch/Ant based) into existing systems and production environments according to established change management procedures. Configuring and troubleshooting solutions to identified problems. Being a technical resource for direct communications to team members in the project development, testing and implementation processes. Communicating technical and non-technical issues with the business and technology user groups. Enforcing the best practices guidelines and industry standards within the team for utilizing the various integration patterns within Data Power. Documenting modifications and enhancements made to the applications, systems and platforms as required by the project.
Requirements: Master’s Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Information Technology or Engineering and two years’ experience in position or two years’ experience in IT field (or Bachelor’s Degree and five years’ experience).
Special requirements: Experience with IBM DataPower, IBM MQ Messaging, IBM IIB and XSLT. Travel to various unanticipated client sites required. May reside anywhere in the United States.
