Advanced Systems Developers
Analyzing user requirements and defining functional specifications using Agile methodologies. Analyzing, developing and ingesting structured data into Splunk received from different application teams using Splunk Enterprise Server, Universal Splunk Forwarder, Red hat Linux, Shell, Python Scripting, Splunk DB connect and Microsoft Azure Hybrid Cloud. Developing Python scripts for continuous flow of data. Creating Splunk dashboards for continuous monitoring. Designing Regular Expressions for field extractions and field transformations in Splunk. Establishing Splunk multi-site clusters by adding new data sources. Designing and implementing Splunk system servers across Windows Unix and Linux. Establishing operating system protocols and tools depending on the type of platform and/or applications. Leading multiple modeling, simulations and analysis efforts to uncover the best Splunk solutions. Developing and implementing test validations of Splunk applications and systems. Analyzing test results and recommending modifications to meet project specifications. Deploying data and applications into the existing systems. Developing dashboards to monitor security and user behavior from a risk management perspective. Analyzing, coordinating and resolving Splunk related issues with assigned systems. Being a technical resource for direct communications to team members in the project development, testing and implementation processes. Documenting modifications and enhancements made to the applications and systems as required by the project.
Requirements: Master’s Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Computing and Information Sciences, Information Technology or Engineering and one year’s experience in position or one year’s experience in IT field (or Bachelor’s Degree and five years’ experience).
Special requirements: Experience with Splunk Enterprise Server, Universal Splunk Forwarder, Red hat Linux, Shell, Python Scripting and Splunk DB connect. Travel to various unanticipated client sites required. May reside anywhere in the United States.
