IT Support Associate
Provide technical support to users for software maintenance and application; install, support, and maintain engineering and related software for users, including Windows OS, MAC OS, Windows server, Microsoft Office Suite, LINUX, Virtual PC and VPN; install, support, repair and maintain computer laboratory and all staff/ faculty computer hardware equipment; connect engineering hardware/ devices to specific computers; assist faculty, staff and students to resolve their computer related problems; organize the surplus procedure for the de-commissioned computer and related equipment; documentation of the procedures and maintain records, and contacting the vendors to resolve issues with computer software and hardware when required by users.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Management Information Systems, Information Technology or Engineering and two years' experience in position offered or two years' experience in IT field.
Special requirements: Experience providing technical support to users for software installation, maintenance and applications, Microsoft OS/ applications, including Microsoft Office Suite; and knowledge of UNIX, Linux, Virtual PC and VPN.
