Providing technical support regarding the client's proprietary network systems and software, including documentation of internal troubleshooting methodologies as required. Assisting customers in debugging network hardware/software related issues on various platforms, including LAN networks. Providing technical support for router and switch system architecture (both hardware and software). Configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting network hardware appliances such as firewalls, routers, WiFi controllers and ethernet switches. Applying analytical skills and technical knowledge to solve product and network problems. Effectively utilizing lab setups to recreate and solve problems. Submitting complete and correct customer-found defect reports.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Information Technology or Engineering and six months’ experience in position or six months’ experience in Network Engineering field.
Special requirements: Experience with debugging network hardware/software, LAN networks, router and switch system architecture support, firewalls and routers. Travel to various unanticipated client sites required. May reside anywhere in the United States.
