Analyzing user requirements and defining testing specifications using Agile and Waterfall methodologies and on client operating systems including XP, Vista, Win7/8, WinPE and Linux. Leading and participating in the software development lifecycle, including research, new development, modification, security, correction of errors, reuse, re-engineering and maintenance of software applications using imaging tools, MS Visual Studio, VSS/source control methods, C#, .NET 3.5, MS SQL Server 2005/2008, Service Oriented Architecture, UEFI shell scripts, Python, Perl, ASP.NET MVC, Jira, REST APIs, System hardware verification tool, Virtualization technologies and Team Foundation Server (TFS), virtualization, Server and Storage enterprise hardware, System Firmware and BIOS. Reviewing requirements, specifications and designs for quality assurance. Developing and implementing plans and tests for product quality or performance assurance. Developing test plans, test cases, and testing strategies using scripting and programming knowledge and experience – especially in Python (but also scripting with DOS batch files, Java scripts, Perl, shell, and VB, and also SQL, XML, and programming languages). Performing enterprise level troubleshooting. Identifying risks involved in the project, preparing and circulating mitigation plan. Designing and executing test scenarios and generating reports as per new support added. Executing test cases, test scripts, capturing test results and metrics and reporting the same. Reviewing User Stories to ensure technical accuracy, compliance and/or completeness and to mitigate risks. Validating newly implemented features and performing defect submission and tracking. Leading design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules and/or potential problems. Collaborating on epic and story breakdowns, task definition and estimation. Creating and enhancing comprehensive test plans to capture test strategy, approach and test scripts. Mapping test plans to User Story requirements. Leading multiple modeling, simulations and analysis efforts to uncover the best application testing solutions. Analyzing and preparing test scripts and test data to populate the testing environment. Analyzing test results and recommending modifications to the applications to meet project specifications. Designing and monitoring quality assurance metrics such as defect, defect counts, test results and test status. Participating in the deployment of applications into existing systems from a quality assurance perspective. Being a technical resource for direct communications to team members and stakeholders in the project development, testing and implementation processes. Documenting test plans, testing status and testing outcomes as required by the project.
Requirements: Master’s Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Information Technology or Engineering and one year’s experience in position or one year’s experience in IT field (or Bachelor’s Degree and five years’ experience).
Special requirements: Experience with Agile, Python, UEFI shell scripts, Jira, System hardware verification tool, virtualization, Server and Storage enterprise hardware, System Firmware, BIOS and REST APIs. Travel to various unanticipated client sites required. May reside anywhere in the United States.
