Coordinate with business users and developers to identify data and functional requirements in the design of new/enhanced systems; investigate and research industry business/technical process; evaluate business requests to determine feasibility and work with Software Engineers to define alternatives and recommend optimal solutions; ensure development objectives are accomplished using SCADA, DMS, DERMS, GIS, OMS, OSIsoft PI product suite including PI Data Archive, PI high availability, PI Asset Framework, PI SDK, PI AF SDK, PI Notifications, PI Event Frames, PI WebAPI, PI Coresight, PI ProcessBook, PI DataLink, PI OPC, PI DNP3, PI UFL, PI-PI interfaces along with SQL Server Business Intelligence Tools such as SSIS, SQL Server, SQL Stored Procedures; integrate with Oracle based Outage Management System(OMS) database and obtain the real time status of Electrical Assets Operations from PI system to OMS system; ensure user testing is performed and member/business notification is prepared in a timely fashion; coordinate changes and enhancements of products and services; review documentation of business/technical presentations; overall resource leveling across all projects and ensure methodology compliance; coordinate and document the implementation of new or revised rules and policies, and document project/release level user acceptance testing; document problem areas and coordinate resolutions throughout the project lifecycle and report to management as necessary; develop solutions to integrate/translate devices in the PI database and match it with the devices in the OMS system; map out and develop end to end processes, implement and configure adapters, database connections, write stored procedures and do data translation; perform unit testing and work with testing team to design functional and automated testing; and test for end to end system integration.
Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Computer Information Systems, Engineering or Information Technology and two years’ experience in position or two years’ experience in IT field. (In lieu of a Master's degree, Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in any of the specified fields plus five years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or the IT field.).
Special requirements: Any experience with OSIsoft PI product suite including PI Data Archive, PI SDK, PI AF SDK, PI Coresight, PI ProcessBook, PI DataLink, PI DNP3, PI UFL, SSIS, and SQL Server. Travel to various unanticipated client sites required. May reside anywhere in the United States. EOE/AA
