Analyzing and reviewing the networks in order to maintain a high level of reliability and availability. Creating QoS models, IP addressing schemas and VLAN design. Creating network topology maps. Developing network components, using TCP/IP Protocol Suite, Cisco Routers and Switches, Ethernet, STP, Port-Security, EtherChannel (LACP, PAgp), BPDU Guard Palo Alto, EIGRP/OSPF and HSRP/VRRP/GLBP. Developing the routing, switching, VLAN, VPN and routing protocols. Analyzing end-to-end TCP/IP protocol traces to identify network issues. Performing VOIP assessments. Developing and implementing test validations of the networks and its devices. Analyzing test results and recommending modifications to the networks and devices to meet requirements. Identifying, analyzing and triaging identified issues during the testing life cycle. Configuring and installing security networks. Serving as a Liaison with the end users to communicate the type of problem, the status of the problem and the resolution of the problem. Researching new technologies to make the networks more efficient and effective. Documenting modifications and enhancements made to the networks as required by the project.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Telecommunications and Network Management and two months’ experience in position or two months’ experience in Network Engineering field.
Special requirements: Experience with TCP/IP Protocol Suite, Cisco Routers and Switches, Ethernet, STP, Port-Security, EtherChannel (LACP, PAgp), BPDU Guard Palo Alto, EIGRP/OSPF and HSRP/VRRP/GLBP. Travel to various unanticipated client sites required. May reside anywhere in the United States.
