Senior Mechanical Engineers
Performing mechanical engineering duties including product design, development and analysis using CATIA V5 and Matlab/Simulink, UG NX9, PTC CREO. Designing and implementing nonlinear model predictive controls. Testing, analysis and improvement of trip optimal energy algorithms for A plug-in hybrid electric vehicle PHEV. Designing using Matlab/Simulink, CATIA V5, UG NX9 and PTC CREO. Working on design of components considering parting lines, welding, sealer application while ensuring tooling condition, component manufacturability process, ergonomics and engineering feasibility. Designing A, B, C pillars and Rocker assembly which reflects the forming process and capabilities of the manufacturing. Creating conceptual class "A" surface from scans, point clouds, surfaces and master sections. Creating 2D drawings with enough data to ensure that the part could be manufactured or gauged for functionality. Applying casting, machining principles, limitations and GD&T to component and systems designs.
Requirements: Master’s Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Mechanical Engineering and six months’ experience in position or six months’ experience in Mechanical Engineering field (or Bachelor’s Degree and five years’ experience).
Special requirements: Experience with CATIA V5 and PTC CREO. Travel to various unanticipated client sites required. May reside anywhere in the United States.
