Commercial Director/Brazil Trading - Study and develop sales and marketing strategies to support sales to major accounts on an International level; communicate market trends to Exec Management team; conduct long range studies of changes in major account sales and servicing strategies; establish customer specific programs to meet their demands; work with management and suppliers to develop appropriate product and merchandising support, including promotions, pricing, billing, etc.; advise management of any breakdown in communications, loss of sales contact or service, and insure that corrective action is taken; make presentations to top prospects within regions; work with purchasing to coordinate proper inventory levels and develop mill sourcing relationships; keep informed on new products or services and other general information of interest to customers; work with CFO on customer credit; work with Executive Team on risk management and analysis; keep informed on the competitions pricing and plans for expansion; keep records and make reports on all phases of activities; keep employees happy and motivated; and work with customer and suppliers to meet profit goals. Supervise 1 agent in Central America and 1 Sales Representative in Orlando.
Requirements - 8 years of experience in the job offered or 8 years of experience managing sales of flat and long steel in South America. Special skills: 8 years of experience trading with Chinese companies in the steel mill industry; 8 years of experience sourcing flat and long steel products in Asia, Europe and Brazil; and 8 years of experience developing logistics and trading operations overseas. Frequent international travel required.
